Delivery and collection

We understand you're busy and might not be able to collect your hire vehicle.

That's why we offer a home delivery and collection service. If your home address is within 40 miles of an Avis rental location, we can deliver your hire vehicle to your doorstep and collect it from there again after your journey.

We may disclose your personal information to fraud prevention parties, but rest assured this is only for security.

We understand this might be easier for you, so we can deliver your hire vehicle to your home address. All we ask is that the driver's name is on the payment card the lead driver uses, that the home address supplied matches the payment card billing address, and that the home address supplied matches the address on the lead driver's driving licence.

Booking a vehicle for home delivery is quick and easy, because we don't want to hold you up on your journey. All you'll need is a payment card in the driver's name – and the delivery address will need to match the payment card billing address, and the address on the driver's driving licence.

Call our reservations team or contact the location you’re hiring your vehicle from. 

If you book by midday, we might even be able to deliver your hire vehicle to your door that day.

To make it even easier, you can also choose a delivery slot:

9am – 11.59am
12pm – 2.59pm
3pm – 6pm

We recommend booking as far in advance as possible to ensure we can deliver and collect your vehicle when it suits you.

As the driver, you need to be there to receive your hire vehicle when it's delivered.

This is so we can securely hand the keys over, check your vehicle together and sign the rental agreement. Remember to have your driving licence handy. We want to make sure everything is perfect before you set off on your journey.

If you want us to collect your vehicle after your journey you don’t need to be there, providing someone can hand the keys over and help with any issues. Simply contact us at your nearest location to arrange a time.

Of course, you can have your hire vehicle either solely delivered or solely collected. We'll work around you to make life as easy as possible.

If you want to get your vehicle delivered, simply choose the delivery slot that suits you:

9am – 11.59am
12pm – 2.59pm
3pm – 6pm
